I see a few things you are doing right ... You keep trying, you are varying your baits, going to try a new location. Might want to check out Captain Jeff's classes ... they start Saturday ... see info elsewhere in the forum. He can get you headed in the right direction. Sounds like what you need...

I was at Surfside yesterday with pretty much the same reslut. minus the ray and plus 1 small pomp (6-8 inch). brought home 3 whiting. It was a beautiful day. felt good to get out and not see weeds .. :-)

seeing as how "daddy's" name is Fishing Mortician ... how about Grave Digger ... it ain't exactly 2 syllables, but you could use Digger for short ...
