Re: picture test  (N/A)

.....or maybe you meant that you wished to produce an avatar.  That little picture that shows up with every post, under your name. whoops, I sometimes forget the question because I can't read it again once a reply is started.

I would skip that hassle and send an email/pm to the administrator asking for assistance. He may could receive your picture and fix you up. I ain't big on avatars, because they are small and a nuisance to create. Doubt he charges, but a good dose of patience would be in order.

Otherwise, you need to figure out how to get your photo to be extremely small in size. Then locate your account's info, and find the avatar submission section. Notice I have none.

Nick, guess you didn't get my email offering assistance the other evening.

Avatars are easy because  you don't have to upload your photo to Photobucket, you can just browse your pc and upload from the file.

Go to the Icon (picture of a Cog) at the top of the forum board.  That is your Settings.

Scroll down to User Settings and click the + sign.

Scroll down on that page to avatar,

Browse your files for a picture you want as your avatar.  Don't use a great big file, you may have to resize your picture to 800 x 800 or somewhere in that range.

Click Upload File Now.

When  your picture appears scroll down to Update, click, wait until it is finished and you are .

Done!

To post pictures within messages see Forum Help, Posting Picture for Dummies (although I hate that name).

Call me if you need more help, I just posted my phone number on the Private Forum Section.

Re: picture test  (N/A)

What is a good size picture to use (not avatar) when posting on the forum?

Most of my pictures are reformatted to 800 x 800.  Saves space on my PC and they posI just fine.  If you want to print a picture you need to maintain the original size from the camera for best resolution.  My better pics I save in original format and keep a reduced size pic. for posting.
