Re: st. george  (N/A)

well, it was a slow week.  lots of wind and rain made it pretty rough fishing.  All I could manage to catch on the beach and bob sikes cut was catfish.  Although I did get some good sights this week...seeing a huge shark and a Manatee at the Cut, and on the bridge watching a huge school of rays and saw some of the biggest Reds I have ever seen, but they would have anything to do with my bait.

But today I spent a good part of the day out on the bridge with my son and had a blast with him!  We knew it was gonna be rain so we wore our swimming trunks and made up our mind to stick it out....it was worth it.  We landing 2 very nice speckle trout.  We lost about 4 others, one of which was the biggest I have ever seen in person!  I wish I could have landed it, it would have been pretty sweet to see how big it actually was.

Here's a couple of picks from today.

Thanks for everyones tips, I think I really have got to get away from Atlanta more often and take more trips to the ocean!  Bass fishing isn't that awesome anymore now that I got a little taste of ocean fishing!!!  :)

Re: st. george  (N/A)

Nice catches and nice rewards for sticking it out in the rain.  I hear on the fresh water vs saltwater fishing.   You just never know what you are going to see / catch when your wetting the line in the ocean.

Have a great 4th.
