I'm a guide in Chattanooga, Tenn. I'm headed to Sandestin Resort for a week, 3rd week of June.  I've decided I don't want to haul my boat down... but obviously plan to fish. I just figured I'd concentrate on getting my feet wet wade fishing.

I've done a fair amount of flats fishing, so basically I'm OK on technique.

Mainly wondering if anyoney can share any suggestions on good access points to wade flats in Choctawhatchee Bay.

    Thanks for any help.

Go East Young Man! on Okaloosa Island.  There's a lot of water to your left  (Choctawhatchee Bay) There are pulloffs where other people have pulled off the highway to fish. Those that seem to have the most traffic seem to have the best fishing.

Get out of the vehicle, rig up and go overboard. You'll probably catch fish. Right now; the water is hot so you have to cast towards deeper water(potholes) to catch fish. I like to use Spook type or Mirrolures.

WARNING: Don't leave anything in plain sight in your vehicle.  Even a piece of gum! Thieves are prevalent. JMHO C2
