I got a trip planned at the end of June to St. George Island.  With reports of oil getting close to Pensecola, just wondering what you guys think will happen?

Hoping we don't have to cancel and hoping that the oil doesn't do too much damage...

Just stay tuned to the news channels. There is no way to crystal ball this one. If we get one big storm in the gulf it will be a bigger disaster! I lived in Ft Walton Beach for a few years and I just cringe knowing the oil is only 4 miles off Pensacola Beach right now. That beautiful white sugar sand is an awesome playground for fishermen and beach goers alike. Good luck with your trip.

Even if you don't catch fish you're still at the beach. It's a Win Win!

It's still coming! The winds are from the SSE and later forecast to be out of the South.

It really ticks me off as I have lived here on the Gulf Coast for some 60 years.

It is supposed to be 4 miles off Perdido Key. Steve and Lyndon are both familiar with Charlie2's fishing hole.  C2
