Fished a few hours from the beach on the N. side of this pass. Parked right by the NW corner of the bridge over the pass (enuf room for about 3 cars there).

My wife caught a small stingray and a small whiting near the bridge.

I got lucky and caught a nice fat 15" pompano several hundred yards N. of the bridge along the beach. Interesting that I caught it on a yellow-sparkle DOA shad on a bright yellow Cotee jig head!! (I was targetting seatrout.) I also hooked-up with 2 seatrout... one about 12" and the other about 20", but they both got off the hook before I could get them to the beach.

Edit: ooops, forgot... I also caught a 13" flounder on that DOA shad/jig.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, almost no clouds, cool breeze/water and warm sun. The pomp was "icing on the cake".

Tight lines and bent rods!....
