I arrived at Simmons Park in Ruskin at 6:00 am just after the gates were opened.  Presumably high tide had occurred just prior to arrival.  The location did not have a real  beach "feel".  The best gulf access was the swimming area with no discerable trough.  The venue would probably be better for the live-shrimp free-line crowd.  There was some action around dawn on the inside of the point.  Total catch - 1 ladyfish and I catfish.  I think, like us, the fish are waiting for the weather to change.  I will try this venue again with light tackle and the high tide later in the day.

I'm going to the east coast Nov 4-5.  I will probably fish Melbourne or Sebastain.  I'll post a report.
