Nice catch , ...  and an even better fish to break in the new rod .  Good on Ya !

How did the rod handle the runs ? wimpy or enough backbone ? sensitivity ? distance ?

Quality equpment and being at the right place gives you quality fish .  Congradulations !

The 'Bama rod handles very nicely for casting, really gets it out there.  And, now I can say i handles nicely with a fish, too!  It handled this 'cuda without breaking a sweat.  Hopefully someday I'll be able to report how it handles a BIG beach tarpon... that will be a challenge!
