Fun, Marshall.  We lost three rigs to big sharks at American Beach Tuesday.  We were fishing for reds with whiting heads and were only about 100 yds. out. I didn't relalize you can camp on that beach and have a fire.  That may be a good place for a future "Big Shark Saturday Night".

Re: Gate Station  (N/A)

Thanks, I dont think you can camp there or have a fire. The bright light in the background was someone down the beach from me and they had a really bright light. But If you have a good chair or cot you can technically "camp" on any beach I guess... You guys have been hooking into some major fish over there by Nassau Sound/American beach you should try to use the tarpoon rigs with 200/300lbs mono leader and that way you can get the strength of cable and stealth of mono for reds and poons. But those mullet are so thick over there that there is no telling what is swimming over there close to shore. Good luck hope to see you on the beach...
