The rip from south to north was very strong. 6oz sputniks wouldn't hold. Water was dirty. Bait.... live crab, shrimp, clams..but nothing would hold the bottom.

Except the five pound blocks on the shark rigs. We kayaked out 3 huge Mullet. Soaked them for 4 hours. Only got one short run from the bait that was 300 plus yards out into the clean green water. 

Bait, gas, ...........................$45.00

Subs and friut from Publix..........................................$25.00

Day on the beach with my family...................................................................Priceless!

NO fish to eat. We stopped at Fishermans Dock and picked up Jumbo shrimp. I made New Orleans BBQ shrimp.

Thanks for the tip Anthony! The French bread to soak up the juices was awesome!

 

Even if you don't catch fish you're still at the beach. It's a Win Win!

Just think what you would have spent if you went offshore and made a run to The Ledge! Fisherman's Dock has the best shrimp that you don't catch yourself. PLEASE Post your BBQ shrimp recipe.
