Oscar invited me to go fishing at Matanzas on Friday. I accepted.

We start fishing at 6:30am, low tide. First catch by Kelvin, a small blacktip shark. Nothing but small

sharks. Then a Ladyfish by kelvin. Follow by a small shark by Oscar. Latter Oscar had a big strike.

End up with a 44" blacktip shark on incomming tide. Nothing else until about 10:15+-am, Oscar cought

a 12 3/4" Pompano. After that Oscar had another big strke, another Blcktip Shark (we could not measure

this on but it was bigger). A third big strke by Oscar, he fought with this one for about 20min.

without knowing what it was. He was hoping for a big RED or a Tarpon. He end up with a BIGGG Stingray.

I snag a Turtle that was tangle up with another line attachet to a jig with two triple hooks.

We untangle the Turtle and released.

End of the fishing trip.

Thank you Oscar for the invitation. I enjoy every minute of it, we will do it again.

Kelvin, those big sharks were all Bonnetheads.  The small ones we caught were Blacktips.  I enjoyed the day as well.  When the weather cools down, we'll do it again.
