Imposed is too strong a word. It was suggested, in strong terms, that members not represent our club wearing flip flops and yesterday's fishing shorts. I realize that there are those who are slave to fashion and others who are "fashionably challenged". Anyone who has strong feelings about wearing the Bradford County uniform of overalls and brogans is encouraged to exercise his/her right to do so. The primary purpose of the dress suggestion was to protect those like myself who have a delicate constitution, from having to look at some guy's fungus infected, nasty, huge big toe nail while at the same time trying to enjoy  a nice, deep fried delicacy which strongly may resemble the aforementioned gross digital appendage on display. Thanks for your understanding.

When I think of Jacksonville on a Sunday evening at a nice restaurant, I think of a gentile southern city such as Savannah or Charleston where folks go out to dinner looking somewhat gentrified. Not the same as going out to a restaurant in Neptune, Atlantic or Flagler Beach - just my humble opinion.

Call me an old stick in the mud, that's OK.

When I think of Jacksonville on a Sunday evening at a nice restaurant, I think of ......illegal aliens with typhoid spitting in my food..... and being robbed and shot down like a dog in the parking lot.....and I ain't from no Bradford County none neither.....I'm from Pootnam County...and I think I can manage a two piece ensemble Mr. Gentile from Savannah won't snear at.

Never one to step on one's constitutional right to keep down fried food either, I shall wear closed toe sandals. You guys certainly cleared all that up for me- thanks.

BTW- Last year you guys were nervous and got in too big a hurry, and forgot to call me up to present my prepared address to the gathered. Nessie was so outraged she refused to come this year. I intend to discuss the morphology of parasitic organisms, their modes of transmission and entry into the alementary canal, determinations of the various signs of infection, how to prevent those troublesome cross contaminations as well as transmission inhibation precautions, with a detailed emphasis on the various treatments of the visceral cavities to remove and retard any offensive odors that may eminate through the nostrils and out into the free air of the reposing arena. Good stuff....they will love it. Personally, I prefer a wireless microphone, as it frees me up to move about the room and interact with the diagrams and pictures more effectively. So let's get it right this year gang.

We look forward to your very informative dissertation and apologize for our unforgiveable negligence last year. As a matter of fact, this year I will let you speak first in order to warm up the crowd for the Headliner Speaker. Please stand by until I can find a wireless mike worthy of your talents and I fully realize that should I not be able to locate a mike capable of handling your decibel level that you will not be speaking to the group which will be  a regrettable loss but a cross we will bear nonetheless..
