Rod & Reel for sale. Heavy Duty surf or mud rod for pier fishing. I bought it for sharks and tarpon on the beach. I’ve landed over twenty Blacktip/Spinners with it and hooked two Tarpon.

Conventional reel Penn 545 that was magged by Earl Brinn. Its loaded with 250yds of 25lb HiViz green on top. On the bottom there is 150yds of 30lb PowerPro. Total of 400yds of stopping power. I’ve only seen the PowerPro once and that fish was unstoppable. Don’t swim in the surf at Matanzas Inlet during the mullet run!

The ROD! Pinnacle Absolute IMT 11’6” Rated up to 9oz. This rod is truly a heavy heaver. This combo will cast an 8oz sinker 360 feet. It will also heave and 8oz sinker and a 6oz fish head 240 feet. That’s not a mis print. 14oz out to 240 feet! These distances are my actual cast this year. I’m 52 years old and a good caster. Not a great caster. Your distance could be more.

The reel is four years old and the rod is seven years old. Both are in good condition and ready to fish. You won’t be disappointed. The cost is $200.00 firm. Local pick up Jacksonville, Florida. Call me to arrange 904-778-1593. Noel Kuhn
