LOCATION QUESTION  (N/A) Modified By 904fishinfool on 3/19/2010 11:32:10 PM

Hey guys,

Myself and a few friends are going to do an over night beach trip tommorow (saturday) from 5pm-10am sunday morning to yak out some baits. We have some Bonnita and about 10 fresh dead whiting from today. I know the sharks will not be here for the most part untill the water temp gets above 70 so for the most part this is going to be a test run, but we are dying to get out and fish. Where do you suggest we go between Nassau Sound to about Matanzas Inlet is the farthest we want to go. Anybody have any location, your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. We have the yak and 2 senator 6/0 wides a Shimano TLD 25 and an Okuma CT 45L and plenty of power pro ready to go. Any advice would be good and if I don't hear from you I will let you know how we did. Thanks and tight lines.............

Bird Island is the place to go if you want to fish.  When the water temp's warm up the sharks are over the place.  You can launch at Sawpit Creek at the George Crady bridge and paddle about 2 miles out to Bird Island in the middle of Nassau Sound.

I have seen people fishing over night at the picnic tables .they have there rods straped to the fence with the lines way out and sleeping bags on top of the tables

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad
