Men arrested for cutting up a whale.  http://m.palmbeachpost.com/pbpost/pm_11247/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=AuJELjiB  Although I would imagine these guys have not taken many classes on any subjects.

Cheers! Steve

Thanks Steve.

That guy needs to take the "stewardship" and "etiquette" sections of the class. He would be assigned Paul Anderson (aka Fishingmortician) as his mentor. I suspect FishMort could teach him a thing or two about weilding a sharp instrument.

He's going to take home the tail and eat it???  Yuck !!!   Now I can see putting chunks of the tail in the crab traps.

Good to hear from you Steve! Hope to see you on the beach during the Fall Pompano run!

....and now the rest of the story

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/crime/two-men-could-face-fines-after-butchering-whale-893276.html

I accept his appology and hope they release him without a fine. He has been unemployed and was using a fishing pole to catch blue crabs. The man is naturally hungry.

According to these laws that protect whales and manatees and turtles and such.....you could find a bleached skeleton on the beach, and putting a bone in your pocket is a violation. Parts is parts you know, no matter how you obtained them. I suspect that when they finally get around to performing the necropsy, they will discover the cause of death to be a four ounce sputnik sinker- made from lead, and painted to look like a sand flea.

TJ- this past year I sliced some of my deer tenderloin into 1/2" madallions and deep fried it. You need to try that. No batter, just salt and pepper. It was so good that 'she who must be obeyed', completed her hunter safety course and will be sitting on her family's farm with a brand new 243 rifle trying to get her some more. Last night she made venison chili....ummmmm good stuff. My crossbow hunting friends say deer meat is great when canned. I am going to try that, too.

Jeffy- You guys like to kid me about my chosen profession. I like to kid a little, too. Tell you a story. While enrolled in mortuary college, the big news down there in Palm Beach County at the time, was about the cuban rafters. Crude homemade rafts were washing up on shore, all up and down the beach, from all the Cubans trying desperately to reach American shores and freedom. The news people loved to show the old washed up rafts on the teley. A classmate and I made plans to steal the classroom's human skeleton display, and take it down there at night and lay it across one of the rafts, and then call them there TV folks to- 'come on down and see what we found". Later we decided it was probably a better idea to actually finish our schooling and go back home with our sheep skins. The head master would have killed us for embarassing their most repectful institution. I regret listening to my friend's final reasoning, we should have done it. I could have laid them wire articulated bones out, in a fine state of repose, and it probably would have made the Evening News with Dan Rather before the Medical Examiner, Dr. Benz, could have gotten a good look at it. Oh the regrets I harbor. They would never have guessed it was me that done all that.

Mortuary Science College, you try to attend some classes and lets us see what it does to you. It was like a freak show at the carnival everyday, starting at 7:30 AM sharp !!!!

I still retain all my books, notes, and of course the pictures. Them pictures.

Wanna see a picture of a dead man ?

CAUTION - DON"T SCROLL DOWN IF YOU ARE EVEN SLIGHTLY QUEASY ABOUT THIS STUFF !!!!
