Hey, just wanted to know if any of the fish were caught anywhere near jacksonville or were they caught further south? We were in South Ponte Vedra and saw probably 20 fisherman and only 1- 11.5 in pompano caught all day. We caught a lot of sharks and catfish. Oh well, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

The pomps were caught between Ormond Beach and Little Talbot Island (Talbert) with the largest unoffical catch at Talbert.  The largest whiting came from 5th Ave S., Jax. Beach.

Good luck, they are out there.  I caught mine on fresh dead shrimp the other day.

Thanks for the response. I'm amazed they were so far north. I usually fish Little Talbot but figured(that's the newbie in me) we would have better luck further south. Now I know not to trust my limited knowledge about pompano migration.Lol

I have learned a lot though, thanks to all the folks who didn't shoo me away when I was asking questions.

Hopefully I have better luck in the next tournament.
