A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers who made this tournament a big success. Especially our Tournament Director, Jeff Rafter.

Also our sincere thanks to our generious sponsors who fund this tournament. The biggest of kudos to Dave Workman for allowing us to

take over the Strike Zone for the day.

I'm both honored and humbled to be the president of a great group of fishermen. Sincerely, Noel Kuhn

Thanks to all FSC members for their contribution to the FSC tournament -- it truly was a team effort. There were two team members that made an especially big contribution to the effort -- Suellen Clark and Anthony Edmonson. Suellen was the prime mover in our registration success with 105 entrants. She sat and signed 'em up and prior to that was getting out the posters and flyers, and during the tournament kept the record copy of the weigh-in results that allowed us to be accurate in our award presentation. By nature, and certainly by desire, I am not an event planner. Anthony gave me his "lessons learned from previous tournaments"  as a "go by", introduced me to Dave Workman, and facilitated our meeting that helped establish the tournament preps, and most importantly; was the tournament conscience. He was not going to let us fail! Thanks to you both and to all others.

Also a special thanks to FSC member Bill Milza and his wife Gladys, owners of Volusia Trophy and Awards down in New Smyrna Beach, who so generously donated the beautiful plaques that were presented to each winner as acknowledgement of fishing success. Long after the rod the winners selected may be lost or broken, those little boys will have the plaque hanging on the wall that says I caught the biggest - I was the baddest surf fisherman on the beach!

The morning of the tournament Suellen, Steve Persampieri, Roger Sallas and I slipped out for breakfast. Over bacon, eggs, and coffee we talked about the wonderful folks that make up the FSC membership. Steve has a highly valued perspective as a recent president of another fishing club in the area, and he told us how much he appreciated seeing all the willing volunteers.  He is right the membership is special.

Hey, just wanted to know if any of the fish were caught anywhere near jacksonville or were they caught further south? We were in South Ponte Vedra and saw probably 20 fisherman and only 1- 11.5 in pompano caught all day. We caught a lot of sharks and catfish. Oh well, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
