Hi C2,

Yup, I cook my own rice.... usually brown, sometimes jasmine.  (Shhhhh.... sometimes wild rice from the box.)  I actually found that my wife's approach to cooking rice works better than the instructions.  :-)

I've not yet made the stock, but will over the coming holiday period...  :-)

That's what I wuz talking about. Pre-cooked rice from a box.

We went over to FWB for Thanskgiving and my wife wouldn't let me take fishing tackle. My daughter has a waterfront pier.

So;  a rather large sheepshead  was speared somehow, and brought home.

The fillets went into making faux crab meat and the bones(and head) went into the stock pot.. It will be well used.

BTW; I eat at various households and know that the rice came out of a box. I have survived so far.

I am going to carmalize some fish bones a la TJ just to check. If I die, I'll sue him. C2

do grill or broil before simmering.careful with spices as you reduce liquid levels things get stronger.

onion or shalots, fresh, roasted garlic, red pepper,be stingy with salt.

rice cookers rule. try red rice from tyland you can find it locally it rocks!

store extra stock in deep freezer. great with shimp dishes

yum im hungry now.
